Regazzoni is a small, family-owned bicycle manufacturer based in Switzerland that specializes in high-end road bikes. The company was founded by Franco Regazzoni, who is a former professional cyclist and expert in frame building. Regazzoni bikes are known for their exceptional quality and attention to detail. Each frame is handcrafted using the finest materials, including high-quality carbon fiber and titanium, and is designed to provide the perfect balance between stiffness and comfort. In addition to road bikes, Regazzoni also produces a range of other high-performance bikes, including cyclocross bikes and mountain bikes. All of the company's bikes are built to the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship, and are designed to give riders the ultimate cycling experience.
One of the unique features of Regazzoni bikes is their customizability. Customers can choose from a wide range of frame sizes and geometries, and also select their own components, including the groupset, wheels and handlebars. This allows riders to have a bike tailored to their individual needs and preferences. Regazzoni bikes are also known for their exceptional performance. The company's road bikes are designed to be lightweight and aerodynamic, and they are equipped with high-end components from top brands such as Campagnolo and Shimano.
The Campagnolo Super Record groupset was the ultimate derailleur of its time. All sorts of strange claims were made: the aluminum was some kind of super special alloy, the black anodizing was some kind of super special coating, etc. The truth is a little more banal. The aluminum used is exactly the same alloy that was used on the Nuovo Record. The black anodizing is - wait for it - black anodized.
The real technical differences were the use of exotic material for the two large Allen bolts and a larger "flange" on the pulley cage. The derailleur feels good in the hand, has a timeless look and feels valuable simply because it was once so absurdly expensive. It's hard to define what makes a classic, but whatever it is, the Campagnolo Super Record has done the job.
